The History of 3G (Third-generation technology)

There is even also technological growth of nirkabel can be embraced as follows:

1. First generation: analogous, low-speed, last for voice. Follow the Example Of The: NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephone) and AMPS (Analogous of Mobile Phone System)
2. Second Generation: digital, low-speed - middle. Follow the example of the: GSM and CDMA2000 1xRTT.
3. Third generation: digital, high-speed, for the broad band. Follow the example of the: W-CDMA (or recognized also by UMTS) and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO.

Between second generation and third generation, often inserted by Generation 2,5, that is digital, middle speed (till 150 Kbps). Technology which enter the category 2,5G service base on the data like GPRS (General Packet Radio Service & EDGE (Enhance of Data of rate for GSM Evolution) at GSM and PDN domain (Packet of Data Network) at CDMA domain.

Definition

In general, ITU-T, as cited by FCC defines 3G as a solution nirkabel which can give the speed access:

• Equal to 144 Kbps to the condition of to darting ( mobile)
• Equal to 384 Kbps to the condition of to walking ( pedestrian)
• Equal to 2 Mbps to the condition of static somewhere.
